Fatima Sana Shaikh on Thugs of Hindostan debacle: I was heartbroken, but eventually, I learnt to accept it

Thugs of Hindostan turned out to be a major dud at the box office. For Fatima Sana Shaikh, it had been her second big film. Here’s what she needs to say on its debacle. Fatima Sana Shaikh made it big with Dangal and was appreciated for her role in Aamir Khan’s film. Post Dangal, Fatima started prepping for yet one more Aamir film, Thugs of Hindustan. Her look made a stir and fans were eager to see the film on the large screen. Well, nobody would have unreal that the audience wouldn’t just like the film and it’ll end up to be a significant dud at the box office. The film tanked fully and it had been a significant budget film. For Fatima, it had been her second big project and its debacle affected her morale. Fatima is of a read that everybody has their own opinion and he or she can’t reject the audience’s reaction. It had been hard for her, however, she did move on. In an interview with DNA, she said, “For the first few days, I couldn’t understand what was happening… all the trolling, etc. I was very disturbed and heartbroken, but eventually, I learnt to accept it. When you get into something like this, everyone puts in so much effort.”
Fatima added that she still takes it completely as she has to be got to share screen house with legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir. Fatima isn’t losing hope and one failure isn’t stopping her to figure tougher. What’s next for the diva? On this, she said, she is doing a movie with Anurag Basu, wherever she is paired opposite Rajkummar Rao. They’ll begin shooting in January and he or she is admittedly excited regarding it. She added that it’s not a sequel to Life during a railway system, however, contains a similar layout. We wish Fatima luck for her upcoming projects.
