Aanand L Rai on Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero: It was the toughest film for me, technically and emotionally

Aanand L Rai’s Zero stars Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, and Katrina Kaif. The film released on December 21.One of the most-awaited films of 2018 – Zero finally released on Friday. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif within the lead roles. The film mixed reviews from the audience and therefore the critics. However, everyone in love with SRK’s character Bauua Singh and therefore the way he acted within the film. As a scientist, Anushka has impressed people and Katrina as an actress Babita Kumari left everybody mesmerized. The team had been working on this film for over a year. The film was an extended journey and included tough task like making Shah Rukh Khan’s height shorter as he plays a vertically challenged man. Also, there was VFX work done in a lot of scenes within the last half to present the audience a bigger than life expertise whilc watching the movie. While talking to Hindustan Times, Aanand L Rai talked about the journey of shooting the film. He said, “This has been such an exciting journey. This [Zero] was the toughest film for me, technically and emotionally, too.”

The Tanu Weds Manu director added, “Right now, I feel a great vacuum. I am not nervous. The metre is broken. I am feeling sad. Now I won’t meet these characters again. Ye kahani ek hi baar sunai jaa sakti hai. I feel quite vulnerable right now.”
Zero was Aanand L Rai and Shah Rukh Khan’s 1st collaboration along and thence, there was plenty of pleasure. Also, the film includes a cameo by several stars like Salman Khan, Sridevi, Karisma Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Juhi Chawla, and Deepika Padukone.
