Shah Rukh Khan’s film Zero released on Friday. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film additionally stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif within the lead roles. In Zero, SRK plays the role of a vertically challenged man named Bauua Singh. For his role, the actor had gone through a lot of preparation and even the VFX team had to place in additional efforts to make Khan’s height look shorter. Zero opened to mixed reviews and picked up Rs 20 crore approx on the first day at the box office in India. Whereas several favorite SRK’s performances as Bauua, people were unsuccessful with the half of the film. In an interview with Khaleej Times, when the Dil Se actor was asked what makes him do films that bring in such a lot of physical discomfort, he had a stimulating answer to the question. SRK said, “I am actually rather confused – should I be doing what people say? I’ve never believed that. The 30 years I have worked, I’ve just woken up in the morning and my wife and everyone keep asking me, how do you have so much love and happiness going and doing something. It’s never been for money or stardom. but people don’t believe that. People have their own reservations about how and why I do a film. ‘He must be doing this to earn money, for commercial success.”
Earlier for his movie FAN (2016), Shah Rukh Khan had to bear severe makeup and medicine for his character Gaurav within the film. SRK played a double role in it, one amongst the fan Gaurav and alternative of the superstar named Aryan Khanna. Further, he is going to be taking part in the role of Indian Air Force pilot Rakesh Sharma within the film titled Saare Jahaan Se Achcha. The shooting of the film is anticipated to start next year.
