Where there is Kangana Ranaut, there is drama and controversy . There’s no doubt that she is an stunning actress but there’s also no denying the fact that her movies make controversies more than other ones in Bollywood.
Her recent movie “Manikarnika : The Queen Of Jhansi” is in hot topics since it’s shoot has begun. Recently her co-actor Sonu Sood who was playing Adashivrao Bhau, the commander-in-chief of the Maratha army, has taken the decision to quit the film and not to give any statement on this regard. But what was the reason behind his leaving?
About that fact the Queen actress said,
“Sonu and I haven’t even met since the last shot with Krish (director) last year. He is busy filming Simmba. He couldn’t even give us tentative dates to match combinations with other actors. The producers showed him the film and writers narrated the patchwork to him. He refused to meet me. He vehemently denied to work under a woman director, which is kind of amusing because Sonu is a dear friend and I have even launched the music of a film that he produced at his request. Even though the team suggested that they have full faith in me, it seems, Sonu had neither dates nor faith.”
But a spokesperson of Sonu Sood said on his defense that,
“Sonu has previously worked with a woman filmmaker – Farah Khan on Happy New Year. Also, Kangana claims that Sonu had shot the kushti scene behind her back but surprisingly the director has to be present on the set to shoot a film and not just the actor. He believes a director is an ultimate boss to shoot the scene, approve it and take the final call. It was (director) Krrish who shot the entire kushti sequence which looked phenomenal but if someone had problems with that, it’s their issue.”
All these confusions about director started after a picture of a clapboard, featuring Kangana’s name as the director, went viral. And it was also on the news that the director Kriss Jagarlamudi has also left the film. However, team Manikarnika later released a statement, which cleared all confusions about that and declared that Krish is still the director of the film, but as he is focusing on some other project now, and in his absence, Kangana is just taking over the chair for directing the portions left to complete Manikarnika.
Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi is based on the life and struggles of Rani Laxmi Bai and scheduled to release on January 25, 2019.
